implants

Have you lost single or multiple teeth to damage or decay? We have the solution; we provide you with an effective restorative treatment in the form of dental implants. Dental Implants are small titanium screw-like posts that replace damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that function like real ones. Dental Implant surgery is an option for people who have lost teeth due to injury, external trauma, periodontal disease, or any other reasons. The significant advantage of implants is the strong support it gives the new teeth; dental implants are firmer and natural than conventional bridges or dentures.

THE COMPONENTS OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

There are three main components for a tooth implant. They are as follows:

THE TITANIUM ROOT OR SURGICAL POST

This is placed under the gums to a strong foundation for a crown.

THE ABUTMENT

This is a titanium attachment that connects the post to the crown.

THE CROWN

Crown is made from synthetic materials that act as a replacement for the damaged or missing toot

WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS

Losing a tooth can affect your smile's aesthetics and affect the way you look and can lead to other physical problems that may impact your overall health.

Replacing missing teeth with dental implants can prevent the following health issues:

  • Bone loss

  • Shifting of the teeth

  • Jaw joint problems

  • Alteration in the bite

  • Difficulty in chewing

  • Extra stress on the remaining teeth

Larsen Dental & Implant Care

If you have a missing/damaged tooth and are looking for the best ways to restore your smile, you can opt for dental implants. • You are in good health

  • You have healthy gums

  • You have sufficient bone tissue

DENTAL IMPLANTS PROCEDURE

Dental Implant procedure is performed in stages and involves multiple steps.

1. rEMOVE dAMAGED TOOTH

Firstly, we will remove the damaged tooth/teeth via surgical extraction, depending upon the scenarios. We will also perform a clinical examination via X-rays to assess the bone density.

4. BONE GROWTH & HEALING

We will take x-rays to evaluate your bone healing. During osseointegration, the jawbone grows and unites with the dental implant's surface, providing a firm base for the new artificial tooth. Once the bone is healed, we will take a mold used to make the crown, bridge, or denture.

2. BONE GRAFTING

If your bone is not strong enough to support the dental implant, we will perform an additional bone grafting procedure to create a solid base for the implant.

5. ABUTMENT PLACEMENT

When osseointegration is complete, the gum is reopened to attach the abutment to the dental implant, and then the gum tissue is closed. We will provide you with temporary crowns or a flipper during your implant procedure for cosmetic reasons to fill the space where the tooth was removed.

3. PLACEMENT OF IMPLANT

Holes are drilled into the bone by opening the gum, where we will place the dental implant metal post deep into the bone. It is then allowed to heal before your next visit.

6. aRTIFICIAL REPLACEMENT

Once the gums heal, and the jawbone is strong enough to support the artificial tooth, we will attach them to the implants. We will then give you specific instructions on how to care for your new teeth. Then, you can enjoy your new smile! We love being able to give you a smile you feel confident with!
